When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn’t bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That’s love.

Upon seeing the man cry, the little boy went into the old gentleman’s yard, climbed onto his lap, and just sat there. When his Mother asked what he had said to the neighbor, the little boy said, “Nothing, I just helped him cry”

At my church the children got in front of the congregation and asked the question, “What is God?” There were many different answers, and the kids came up with some unique ones, too. It is interesting to hear what they have to say because it is truly from the heart.

You don’t even have to think “do i really love them?” or “why do i love them?” You dont need to ask yourself those questions, it just happens. you just know. it’s a feeling of comfortability. you can spend hours and hours with them, and barely say anything at all, and you still have an amazing time. love is not thinking someone is perfect, or telling them that they’re perfect. it’s telling them that they have flaws, but you still love them. to love someone you have to love all of them, not just the good parts that you want to love. you have to love the cranky, the selfish, the annoying, the flawed parts of them too. and if you can fully know someone for who they are, good and not so good, and still wouldnt change a thing, that is love.

proudmommaMy 5 yr old told me “Love is like when you gave me your ice cream when I dropped mine & then you said you didn’t want it anyway. I knew you were lying but I didn’t say so. I forgive you. That is love” – LOLOLOL Glad to know I am forgiven for that one.
He also indicentally told me last night before bed that he “loves me so much that sometimes he forgets how much he likes the wii – and that is pretty big love”. Glad to know I still rate above the wii, I think.
